Brushfire Stankgrass, a “raging bluegrass” band from Asheville, N.C., whose influences range from hip-hop to Duane Allman, will perform Friday, Feb. 8, in the Black Box Concert Series at The Arts Center, 320 N. High St., in Athens, Tenn.

The four-piece ensemble fused its bluegrass chops with pinches of jazz, jam, reggae and rock on its acclaimed debut album, “One for the Salamanders,” released in 2010.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Sue E. Trotter Theatre.

Tickets are $15 adults, $8 students. For more information, call 423-745-8781 or visit www.athensartscouncil.org.
