Pope receives mentorship award
Brad W. Pope, vice president of human resources for Memorial Health Care System, received the Paul Guy Mentorship Award at the 44th annual conference of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration.
The award is presented to a society member who exemplifies the spirit, qualities and characteristics of a mentor and coach, a news release said.
Mr. Pope is a 16-year veteran of the human resources field. He holds a degree from David Lipscomb University and has a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
He and his wife, Becky, and their three daughters live on Signal Mountain.
St. Barnabas adds Tarziers as a CEO
Chris Tarziers joins St. Barnabas Senior Living Services as interim CEO for both downtown divisions.
She has more than 40 years of experience in health care and has been a licensed nursing home administrator for more than 20 years. Her experience includes 27 years with Alexian Brothers as director of nursing, director of health services and health care administrator.
“We are pleased to have Ms. Tarziers at the helm during this transitional period,” said Gaines Campbell, chairman of the St. Barnabas board of directors.
Attorney Taylor joins city firm
Rebecca Casey Taylor has joined the corporate department of the Chattanooga office of the law firm of Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP. She is an associate in the office.
She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Law.
Cleveland firm opens Chattanooga office
Absolute Mechanical Services of Cleveland, Tenn., has announced its opening of an office at 4121 Hixson Pike.
AMS is a heating and air conditioning company that handles installations and repairs. The company has been in business more than 14 years.
Accounting firm appoints Cook
Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough PLLC has announced its addition of Haley Cook as a manager.
She is a certified public accountant with more than eight years of experience in public accounting, most recently at a firm in Dalton, Ga., where she specialized in business and individual tax.
She is a graduate of Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga.
HHM is a full-service certified public accounting and consulting firm based in Chattanooga.
Rich and Gallups join Metal Systems
Matthew Rich has joined Metal Systems as a project manager.
He has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Clemson University. He spent the last 13 years with Synthetic Industries/Propex in Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia, most recently as an engineer in research and development. Mr. Rich and his wife, Stacie, have two sons and reside in Ringgold, Ga.
Also, Jeff Gallups has joined Metal Systems as a structural engineer.
He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He previously worked with March Adams Engineers in Chattanooga as a project engineer and with ICR Engineers as an engineer.
Mr. Gallups and his wife, Kristie, have three children and reside in Ooltewah.
Guy receives operations award
Ken Guy, national director of operations for Fairway Outdoor Advertising, has received the OAAA Excellence in Operations Award.
The award was in recognition of Mr. Guy’s work to improve the quality, safety and appearance of numerous outdoor plant facilities across the Southeast, his development of many employees and his involvement at state associations and many OAAA committees nationally, a news release said.
Mr. Guy lives on Signal Mountain.
Fairway is based in Augusta, Ga.
Dover appointed to Cornerstone post
Randy Dover has joined Cornerstone Community Bank as vice president and information technology officer.
He is a native of Chattanooga who has 18 years of experience, including in the information technology department of the Krystal Co.
His new position calls for him to oversee technical support of all computerized systems at Cornerstone and its subsidiary, Eagle Financial Inc.
He and his wife have five children and live in East Brainerd.
