Name: Jonathan Clark
What’s your favorite beer you brew? Right now, the Black Lager but it varies seasonally
Where is your beer available? At 40 locally owned restaurants in the Chattanooga area
What’s your favorite beer you don’t brew? Sweetwater’s IPA (the one they used to brew)
What’s next for the CBC crew in the local craft beer scene? “We’re getting ready to move to a new facility at 1804 Chestnut St. across from Finley Stadium. The space we’ll be using initially is four times the size of the current space and has the capacity to be 10 times the size. We’ll also have a large tasting room with limited food service and more observation opportunities for people. It’ll probably be open in early February.”
Are there any little-known facts you can share about your company? “Another company called Chattanooga Brewing Company was around before prohibition and then went out of business during prohibition and we decided to revive it.”
What seasonal beers can we expect this winter from Chattanooga Brewing Company? The Winter Warmer, an English festival ale that’s high in alcohol, and the Coffee Stout will be on tap.
Did you know? Both Jonathan and another of CBC’s brewers are former engineers.
